McIlroy and Lowry to team up at Zurich Classic
Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry are teaming up for next month's Zurich Classic of New Orleans, the PGA Tour's only team competition.
McIlroy has never played the tournament at TPC Louisiana, which has been a team event since 2017.
The event takes place from 25-28 April.
While McIlroy and Lowry have been Ryder Cup team-mates in the past, they only played one session together, a loss to Tony Finau and Harris English in a fourball in 2021.
McIlroy, who won the Dubai Desert Classic in January, was the first-round leader at the recent Players Championship before a second-round stumble saw him finish the tournament in a tie for 19th.
Lowry has shown good form Stateside this year, with a tie for fourth at the Cognizant Classic and a third-place finish at the Arnold Palmer Invitational earlier this month.
