McCusker, Greene, Corby and Cullen advance at European Swimming Championships in Belgrade

The opening morning of the European Swimming Championships in Belgrade saw Ireland's Max McCusker open proceedings in the 50m butterfly heats where he was classed 15th overall and advanced to tonight’s semi-finals.

In the 100m breaststroke heats, both Darragh Green and Eoin Corby progressed to the semi-finals.

Lottie Cullen made her Championships debut in the 200m backstroke and did enough make this evening’s semis.

The men’s 4x200m freestyle relay squad were also in action. They took second in their heat for an overall classification of seventh to take their place in tonight’s final.
