Max Verstappen & Lewis Hamilton share joke as Dutchman makes cheeky porpoising comment

Max Verstappen couldn’t resist making a joke about porpoising after seeing Lewis Hamilton had been playing a classic Ayrton Senna racing game on a Sega games console.

Earlier this week, ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix, Lewis took to Instagram to share footage of him playing a classic video game from his childhood, that evidently fuelled his passion for motor racing.

Ayrton Senna’s Super Monaco Grand Prix II was the name of the game on a Sega Genesis, with Hamilton quickly engrossed in it as soon as he had fired the console up.

Certainly, it likely provided him a bit of an escape from the battle of this season that he is having with porpoising, especially after suffering evident back pain in Baku last weekend thanks to the bouncing the Mercedes W13 was experiencing.

Hamilton was asked about the game during the pre-weekend press conference in Montreal, too, and Verstappen couldn’t resist a tongue-in-cheek remark, with both seeing the funny side in the press conference room:
