Max Verstappen breaks silence on Christian Horner's Red Bull future and Toto Wolff's Mercedes offer

Max Verstappen has hinted he wants his boss Christian Horner to stay at Red Bull Racing, say it's important to keep the "key players" in the team.

There's been talk about whether Horner should leave because some big names are not happy with him. Max's dad, Jos Verstappen, and Helmut Marko, who has worked with the team for a long time, don't get on well with Horner. Verstappen didn't say much about what he thinks of Horner's job, but when he talked to the press in Melbourne, he suggested he doesn't want big changes in the team's management.

He mentioned: "It is very important that we try to keep the key players in the team for a longer period of time because that is where the performance is and if I didn't perform I wouldn't be sitting here." He also said that the team is like a second family to him and even though families might not always agree, it's important to respect everyone who has helped the team do well. Verstappen added: "It is important to keep them together, happy and in the same roles. But we just focus on the performance. I would like the chat to be about the great car that we have. Hopefully that will come slowly."

Lots of chatter has been going on about the future plans of Max Verstappen, especially after he hinted that he might consider leaving if his current manager Marko left. Many fans and pundits believe that Mercedes could be a possible destination for him, particularly since Lewis Hamilton is set to move over to Ferrari at the end of this year, reports the Mirror.
