Max George 'in the best hands' as he offers update amid heart diagnosis that 'came out of nowhere'

Max George has said he's 'in the best hands' as he thanked fans for their support as his stay in hospital continues.

The Wanted star recently said that he'll have to have heart surgery "way quicker" than doctors first thought because he "doesn't have too much time to wait", after he was admitted to hospital last week as he began to feel "really unwell".

Max, 36, evealed last week he had been hospitalised with a heart problem before the 'Glad You Came' hitmaker later explained he has been diagnosed with a 2:1 atrioventricular block - a condition where electrical impulses are delayed or blocked, resulting in a slower heartbeat or an abnormal rhythm - and explained he was to undergo a scan to establish what further treatment he would need.

Now, on Tuesday evening (December 17), Max shared a picture of himself and his The Wanted bandmate Siva Kaneswaran after they recently teamed up as a duo dubbed 'The Wanted 2.0'. He said: "SO much to look forward to in 2025 with this guy...

"BRING IT ON!!" He then shared a picture of some of the monitors tracking his heart and said: "In the best hands. Hospital staff are incredible."

He's also taken to Instagram Threads with a new video. In the clip, the singer said: "Hello everyone, hope you're good. I just want to say thanks so much for all your messages this week and support and also for my family as well. It really means the world.

"It's obviously a really strange week, something that came out of nowhere and when you get told, it shakes you but they're going to give me a chance at living a normal life again which is, you know, I'm so lucky in that sense.
