Mateo Kovacic praises Man City teammate as Pep Guardiola told to make change

Manchester City made a welcome return to winning ways in the Premier League this weekend following a 2-1 win over Luton Town.

City had incredibly not won in the top flight since the victory over AFC Bournemouth and were on their way to dropping more points when Elijah Adebayo headed home on the stroke of half-time. The Blues did not panic and turned the game around in the space of three second half minutes.

First, Bernardo Silva curled home an equaliser before Jack Grealish tapped in at the back post to win the game for his team. Ahead of another busy week, MEN Sport has pulled together the headlines you need to know.

City learned of Haaland's foot injury before the match, with no definite timescale put on his return. De Bruyne remains out until the new year, even if he is slowly stepping up his recovery, and Jeremy Doku is another player being monitored carefully so as not to aggravate his muscle issue.
