Marilyn Monroe's fondness for Chanel No. 5 is well-known, but it seems that, like many women, she occasionally switched up her perfume choice. Rumour has it that Arpège was one of the fragrances worn by the blonde icon. Lanvin's Arpège in 100ml is currently available on Amazon for £35.35. Elsewhere, it's slightly cheaper at Superdrug, where it costs £30.99.
Vintage beauty collector and makeup artist Erin Parsons delved deep into this topic, examining receipts, old interviews, and even scrutinising photos of Marilyn's dressing table. It's evident that Marilyn and the fragrance were at least in close proximity.
