Mark Warburton giggles as ex Rangers boss interrogated over burner account swirls after Tim Sherwood one liner

Former Rangers boss Mark Warburton couldn't hold back his laughter as he was put on the spot about manager's with social media burner accounts.

The Englishman's spell at Ibrox came to an abrupt end back in 2017 after he led the Light Blues back to the Scottish Premiership - having also enjoyed spells in the dugout at Brentford, QPR and Nottingham Forest as well as assisting David Moyes at West Ham last term. But he admits he has been left in disbelief this week by social media rumours that a boss has been hyping himself using a false identity on X.

On the No Tippy Tappy Football podcast host Natalie Pike brought up an unnamed manager who "allegedly" had an "undercover social media account to post things about themselves" sparking giggles between former Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood and Warburton. Bemused Sherwood joked: "I don't really understand social media too well, but it's a great idea surely?"

Warburton added: "I have had one or two players get involved in social media stuff but never coaches or managers. That is beyond me. I have no idea if it's true or not."

Sherwood intervened: "I don't believe anyone would do that. It can't be true. No one would ever do that."

Warburton responded: "Everything can be traced back. Anyone with any grey matter will understand that."
