Mark Guidi has dropped a worrying injury update concerning Celtic centre-back Christopher Jullien.

In recent comments made to Go Radio (via Vital Celtic), the journalist revealed that, despite the Frenchman appearing to have recovered from a knee injury that had kept him out of action for over a year earlier this season, there is still no update on when the defender could make a return to first-team football.

When asked if there was an update on the 28-year-old’s current condition, Guidi said: “To be honest, on Jullien? Not at the moment.”

Considering just how important a part of the Celtic side Jullien was prior to his injury, the news that there is still no update on the condition of the centre-back is sure to have left Hoops supporters gutted.

As such, is it clear for all to see that the return of Jullien would provide Ange Postecoglou’s side with a major boost, however, with it now being 15 months since the 27-year-old started a league game for the Bhoys, the Parkhead faithful will certainly be concerned that the Frenchman may never be able to refind the form he was demonstrating prior to his injury back in December 2020.
