Marcus Rashford told how Erik ten Hag can help him rediscover form at Manchester United
Erik ten Hag has been backed to get Marcus Rashford back firing at Manchester United next season.
The Ajax boss looks to be edging closer to becoming the new permanent manager at Old Trafford. Sources have told the Manchester Evening News that a deal for Ten Hag is ‘basically done’ and he is expected to be appointed before the summer transfer window opens on June 10.
The 52-year-old has emerged as the club’s preferred candidate in recent weeks, ahead of Mauricio Pochettino, having been interviewed for the role last month. Should his appointment be confirmed, Ten Hag faces a huge first summer in charge.

Rashford is among those to have endured a disappointing season, with the England international’s form having dipped alarmingly. Having found his chances in the side becoming more limited, the 24-year-old is considering his future at Old Trafford, with his current deal running until next year, although United do have the option of an extra year.
Opinions are split among fans on what the best course of action regarding Rashford should be. Former Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott believes the forward could benefit from Ten Hag’s arrival.
“Marcus Rashford is one player who I think could be reinvigorated under Erik ten Hag,” Lescott told LiveScore. "Nobody can deny that Marcus’ form has tailed off hugely in recent times. He’s looked a different player to the one who burst onto the scene
