Marcus Rashford sends Michail Antonio message after West Ham win Europa Conference League

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford was pleased to see Michail Antonio win the Europa Conference League.

On Wednesday night, West Ham United triumphed in the European competition thanks to a late winner from Jarrod Bowen - which clinched a 2-1 win over Fiorentina and the trophy in Prague. Bowen’s 90th minute winner, after Said Benrahma's second half penalty was cancelled out, sealed victory for the Hammers - who won their first major honour since 1980 and booked their place in next season’s Europa League.

West Ham's players and staff partied into the early hours of Thursday morning, with an open-top bus parade around Stratford to take place on Thursday night. Antonio was West Ham's top scorer across the season - with 14 in total.

David Moyes' men endured a disappointing Premier League campaign but made up for it on the European stage - with a quite remarkable unbeaten journey. Following the win over Fiorentina, Antonio tweets: "15 years ago I was playing non league football and now I’m here. Everyone has opinions but ultimately it’s yours that matters the most. Believe in yourself"

Rashford responded to the West Ham forward with the heart emoji.

Antonio, who Rashford clearly thinks highly of, said post-match: "It has been a pleasure obviously. I have been here eight years now. To have this feeling... 58 years West Ham have waited for this moment. It has been amazing, a great experience - probably the best season I have had since I have been at West Ham."
