Marcus Rashford has been given exactly what he wanted at Manchester United
Manchester United supporters left Old Trafford with little to smile about on Tuesday night, having seen a performance only worsened the following day by Rishi Sunak's Conservative Party conference speech in the old Manchester Central station.
Throughout the day, thousands of members from the British Medical Association were in St. Peters' Square on strike and come the second-half at Old Trafford, United's defenders decided to follow suit. After twice seeing Rasmus Hojlund take the lead, Erik ten Hag watched on as his players committed a litany of unforced errors.
Diogo Dalot allowed the ball to bounce and was weak against Wilfried Zaha, Sofyan Amrabat was done with a simple spin in the build-up to Muhammed Aktürkoğlu's goal, Andre Onana's misplaced pass forced Casemiro into a late challenge and a red card and the Reds goalkeeper was already on the ground when Mauro Icardi dinked the eventual winner over him.

"A little bit difficult," was how Hojlund described the defeat and the 20-year-old could be excused for cursing his teammates in the dressing room after full-time. This was meant to be his night.
Unfazed by the atmosphere inside Old Trafford, Hojlund was the shining light on an otherwise dismal evening for United. His two goals, both brilliant in their own right, should have been enough for three points.
The first in particular was a pure No.9's goal, smelling the opportunity as Marcus Rashford broke through and charging ahead of Davinson Sanchez. Rashford's cross was arrowed straight into the path of his teammate's head. No finesse,
