Marcus Evans status, Tino Anjorin fitness and summer transfers among Huddersfield Town questions answered

Huddersfield Town are enjoying a season far beyond anyone’s pre-season hopes and currently sit third in the Championship table going into their final 11 games of the season.

There’s also been confirmation this week that Phil Hodgkinson has resigned from the Town board of directors with Dean Hoyle lining up a complete takeover of the club.

There's been nothing new to report on that since the beginning of January really, and even then it was just 'believed to be interested'.

The fact that's gone so quiet over the past couple of months, plus the club's announcement on Monday that Hoyle (and Hoyle alone) is in discussions over taking the other 75% of the shares, strongly suggests that a deal with Evans is not currently on the table.

Prior reports from elsewhere do suggest Marcus Evans feels like he has unfinished business in football after failing to find success at Ipswich, but as it stands it doesn't look like that will be at Huddersfield Town.

The latest from Corberan (from post-match on Saturday) was that Anjorin was expected to join the rest of the squad in training this week.

That's obviously a positive but he has been out for a long time - since November - so I suspect he may need a bit of a gradual introduction over his first few outings.
