Manchester United vs Leicester City LIVE early team news and how to watch Carabao Cup fixture

Interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy will be eyeing a winning start to his Manchester United tenure when Leicester City visit Old Trafford in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup this evening, kick-off 7.45pm.

Van Nistelrooy will take charge of the Reds for the very first time after being put in caretaker charge on Monday following the exit of Erik ten Hag.

Sunday's 2-1 defeat to West Ham United at the London Stadium was the final straw for Ten Hag, who oversaw just one win from his final eight games in charge.

It means Van Nistelrooy is tasked with trying to improve both results and the mood at Old Trafford. United booked tonight's date with Leicester after thrashing Barnsley 7-0 in the third round of the competition last month.

United, however, have won just once since then - beating Brentford 2-1 just over a week ago - and desperately need to try and turn their fortunes around. They are up against a Leicester side who have won two and lost two of their last four matches in all competitions.
