Manchester United urged to end 'horrible' Jadon Sancho saga

Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha has urged Erik ten Hag to sell Jadon Sancho in January to end a 'horrible' period for all involved. Sancho has been exiled from the United squad since a public falling out with Ten Hag in September. After not featuring in the defeat to Arsenal, the winger's absence was brought up in the boss' post-match press conference.

Ten Hag explained his forward was missing due to his performances during training. Sancho took exception and declared himself as a 'scapegoat' at Old Trafford in a now-deleted social media post.

Since then, the 23-year-old has not come close to the first team and his days in Manchester seem numbered. Speaking to Paddy Power, Saha is adamant the time has arrived for the Reds to cut their losses and let Sancho leave.

He explained: "The Jadon Sancho situation is horrible for everybody. As a Manchester United fan, you want to see the best players and most talented players on the pitch and Sancho is definitely one of those players that can disrupt the opposition.

"But, since he signed, he hasn’t performed regularly, and it’s been going on for months now so it's time to find the solution for everybody. We want to see him go somewhere he’s playing, scoring and enjoying his football, wherever it is he wants to go. I’m sad because I really like him when he’s in form, but it hasn’t happened for him at United.

"Even if Erik ten Hag considered bringing him back into the team, I doubt it would work because if he starts playing well, people will say Ten Hag should have brought him in earlier. But if he doesn’t play well, then people will say he
