Manchester United U21s vs Crystal Palace LIVE early team news, predicted line-up and score predictions

Manchester United's U21s welcome Crystal Palace to Leigh Sports Village in the Premier League 2 tonight.

United's U21s are managed by Mark Dempsey this season after the departure of Neil Wood and they started the new Premier League 2 campaign with a 3-1 defeat against Arsenal last weekend, with Charlie Wellens scoring the Reds' only goal in that match.

The Premier League 2 has now become an under-21 competition after formerly being for under-23s. Clubs will, however, be permitted to use five [previously three] over-age outfield players and one over-age goalkeeper, in order to transition from its under-23 format.

Charlie Savage played for the first team in pre-season and he captained the U21s in their defeat against Arsenal on Saturday. Savage is expected to play tonight at Leigh, while other exciting prospects Daniel Gore, Kobbie Mainoo and Charlie McNeill could start.
