Manchester United transfer news LIVE Paul Pogba latest, Brighton vs Man Utd buildup and team news

The future of Paul Pogba is dominating headlines as Manchester United travel to the south coast to face Brighton in their penultimate match of the 2021/22 season.

According to various reports, Pogba - who is out of contract at Old Trafford at the end of the season - is of interest in cross-city rivals Man City with the view to a sensational free transfer. Pogba is currently injured is has played his last game for the club.

It is the latest twist in a season to forget for United under the leadership of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and latterly Ralf Rangnick. However, plenty of the players will be hoping to impress new Erik ten Hag when they take to the field in today's later kick-off.

Rangnick's options were boosted by the return of Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka to training at Carrington, but Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw and Pogba remain out. Their absences could open the door for some of United's younger squad members, with Alvaro Fernandez joining the travelling squad on Friday as they made their journey south.
