Manchester United transfer news LIVE Paul Pogba and Raphael Varane injury news plus Ten Hag latest

It's now less than a week until Manchester United are back in action against Leicester City on Saturday after a long stint without any games.

The last of the international break's fixtures will be completed by the early hours of Wednesday morning after which the United stars that have been representing their countries will be returning to Carrington to begin preparations for the return to Premier League competition.

However, Ralf Rangnick may have fresh injury concerns to contend with as French duo Raphael Varane and Paul Pogba have picked up knocks. The centre-back was taken off before the hour mark in Les Bleu's 2-1 win over Ivory Coast with a 'problem in his foot' and had to train individually on Sunday.

In the same session, Pogba was forced out of training with a contusion in his left foot although it's not believed to be serious.

United backed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his backroom staff with new contracts last summer but parted ways with the Norwegian in November of last year after a dire start to the new campaign.
