Manchester United's troubles keep on mounting after Saturday's defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion.

The Reds were not at the races for much of the game against the Seagulls. Danny Welbeck, Pascal Gross and Joao Pedro had put the game beyond doubt before Hannibal Mejbri pulled a goal back moments later.

It was United's third defeat in five matches this season and there were moments of unrest in the stands, particularly when Rasmus Hojlund was substituted for Anthony Martial on the hour mark. One player who was not involved this weekend was Jadon Sancho.

MEN Sport understands the winger is open to departing Old Trafford if his exile continues into January. Rumours yesterday suggested Barcelona were interested in the forward.
