Manchester United transfer news LIVE Man Utd vs Fulham reaction plus Antony injury latest

Manchester United ended their league campaign in style yesterday as they secured a final-day win at home to Fulham.

United didn't start the game too well and just before the 20-minute mark they found themselves a goal down as Kenny Tete handed the Cottagers the lead. Things could have been much worse for United as a foul by Casemiro afforded Aleksandar Mitrovic the opportunity to double his side's lead from the spot, though the Serb was denied by a brilliant save from David de Gea.

Marco Silva described the penalty miss as the turning point in the contest after the game, with United soon getting a foothold in the match and taking control.

Jadon Sancho brought the Reds level shortly before half-time and Bruno Fernandes' clever finish 10 minutes into the second-half ensured Erik ten Hag's men brought down the curtain on their league campaign in style.

All that's left for United this season is the small matter of the FA Cup final against Manchester City. It remains to be seen whether Antony will be fit in time for the showpiece event but Ten Hag sounded a lot more optimistic when asked about the winger before yesterday's game.

However, prior to yesterday's home game against Fulham, the boss sounded a little more optimistic.
