Manchester United transfer news LIVE Erik ten Hag to Man United updates and Frenkie de Jong latest

Manchester United's U18s won the FA Youth Cup on Wednesday night.

United took the lead through captain Rhys Bennett in the first half, but Nottingham Forest scored an equaliser on the stroke of the interval. United responded to that disappointment with two Alejandro Garnacho goals in front of 67,492 at Old Trafford.

United last won the Youth Cup in 2011. Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard and Ravel Morrison featured in that side, but the club's latest youngsters, Garnacho, Kobbie Mainoo, Dan Gore and Charlie McNeill, are now in the history books.

The Reds extended their rich history in the prestigious competition after a memorable campaign led by manager Travis Binnion.

In transfer news, United were linked to Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong yesterday. De Jong worked with Erik ten Hag at Ajax before moving to the Spanish giants and it's not the first time he's been linked with a move to Old Trafford.
