Manchester United transfer news LIVE build-up to Copenhagen clash and Sir Bobby Charlton tribute plans
Manchester United will honour the life of Sir Bobby Charlton ahead of kick-off against Copenhagen in tonight's Champions League clash.
Supporters are being asked to get to the ground early with gates opening at 6pm. A wreath will be placed on Sir Bobby's chair in the director's box while players and staff wear black armbands in two of several planned gestures.
United will be determined to do the 1968 European Cup winner proud with a much-needed win. The Reds have lost their opening two Champions League matches and another loss will condemn them to a third straight competition defeat in the same campaign for the first time since 2005.
United can be buoyed by recording back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time this season, albeit have been less than convincing against either Brentford or Sheffield United. A good showing and three points against Copenhagen would be an apt way to commemorate Sir Bobby.
