Manchester United's next manager hunt continues to be the big story of the week despite the club continuing to step up their preparations for Saturday's FA Cup final against Manchester City at Wembley.

United will be hoping to build on their recent victories over Newcastle United (3-2) and Brighton & Hove Albion (2-0) and end the campaign with a trophy. They fell at the last hurdle in the FA Cup last season, losing 2-1 to City, meaning they will be determined to go one step further this time around.

However, much of the focus ahead of Saturday's trip to the capital is on manager Erik ten Hag and his future. Having overseen a disappointing eighth-placed finish in the Premier League this term, he is under enormous pressure to try and deliver a trophy and salvage something from the campaign.

That has only increased with the news on Tuesday night that Mauricio Pochettino had left Chelsea after just one year in charge. Pochettino lost out to Ten Hag for the United job a couple of years ago and his availability ramps up the pressure on the United boss. Pochettino has already been installed as the new favourite should United make a change in the summer.
