Manchester United transfer news LIVE takeover updates and early team news ahead of Barcelona

Manchester United's takeover will continue to dominate the news out of Old Trafford today after yesterday's revelations.

MEN Sport reported on Monday that the Glazers were making a concerted effort to separate the potential sale of the club from the football staff at the club. Bids to buy United were formally submitted by Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani and Sir Jim Ratcliffe before Friday's soft deadline of 10pm.

It is believed that to help the Glazers with their bid to keep matters separate, they have dealt solely with investment bank Raine Group. It is not clear at this stage whether any other parties have thrown their hats into the ring to buy the club however, Victor Lindelof did confirm after the victory over Leicester City that the Reds' players were merely focusing on the matches.

That is perhaps a wise response as United have a season-defining week ahead of them. On Thursday night, the Reds welcome Barcelona to Old Trafford in a bid to progress to the round of 16 of the Europa League.
