Manchester United to 'make a move' for Marco Asensio and more transfer rumours

Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid winger Marco Asensio. According to a report covered by Mundo Deportivo, United could move to sign Asensio, whose contract with Real Madrid will expire in less than a year.

Asensio has reportedly been told by Real that he can leave the club this summer. Still only 26, the Spaniard could be an option for Erik ten Hag as he looks to bolster his frontline options.

Elsewhere, Bayern Munich have offered right-back Benjamin Pavard to United, according to German outlet Sport1.

The Bavarian club are said to have offered Pavard to United after Matthijs de Ligt was brought in at centre-back. Bayern have also signed Noussair Mazraoui to play at right-back this summer.

Although Pavard can and has played as a right-back over the years, the France international has also figured as a central defender and could be a versatile option for Ten Hag, similar to Lisandro Martinez who recently arrived at Old Trafford.
