Manchester United to 'introduce Old Trafford-style tunnel at London office'

Manchester United will reportedly introduce an Old Trafford-style 'tunnel' to their new London office in Kensington.

The Reds have left their London offices in Mayfair after 10 years. United's former West London office is where Erik ten Hag and his assistants Mitchell van der Gaag and Steve McClaren first checked in after he accepted the manager's job in May last year. It was also where some of United's biggest transfer deals were struck.

And the Mail Online report that United's new premises in Kensington will include a 'tunnel' which staff and clients will walk through when going to meeting rooms. It adds that the corridor will be made up of 'wraparound LED screens' which will recreate the feel of walking through to the club's pitch at Old Trafford.

It is reported that the new offices will be for the commercial side of the business, with the aim to increase revenues. It is also reported that this will help to boost Ineos' plan of prioritising success on the pitch.

The report also claims the tunnel may be used to 'wow new signings'. New co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe will be hoping to improve United's recruitment strategy with the club keen to appoint highly-rated sporting director Dan Ashworth. who is currently on gardening leave from Newcastle United.

However, their hopes of securing Champions League football and the potential of attracting top-tier talent were dented on Saturday after their 2-1 defeat at home to Fulham. United are now eight points off the top four and a guaranteed place in Europe's elite
