Manchester United target Lisandro Martinez drops huge transfer hint with social media update

Lisandro Martinez has dropped a massive hint that he could be on his way to Manchester United after re-sharing a social media post from his agent.

The Manchester Evening New s previously reported that United were in advanced talks with the defender ahead of an expected summer move. Erik ten Hag is eager to bring in defensive reinforcements as he looks to transform the club's fortunes.

He has already managed to bag one defensive recruit in Tyrell Malacia before midfielder Christian Eriksen was unveiled as his second United signing on Friday. Martinez lifted the Dutch title under Ten Hag last season after being brought to the Netherlands by him in 2019.

And now it looks like a reunion may be imminent. On Friday, Martinez’s agent, Christian Bragarnik, posted a photo of himself and Martinez on his Instagram story, with the pair appearing to be on a plane.

The caption read: ‘Rumbo a Manchester’ which translates as ‘Heading to Manchester’. Martinez then re-shared the post to his own story.

It has sent United fans wild on social media, with many believing this indicates a deal has been struck.
