Manchester United set Dean Henderson price tag and more transfer rumours

Manchester United have set their asking price for goalkeeper Dean Henderson - according to reports. Speculation over the Academy graduate remains at fever pitch after the Old Trafford giants stopped him from moving away on loan during the January transfer window.

Henderson dislodged long-serving David de Gea as number one last season. However, game-time has proved hard to come by since last summer and the Spaniard has been an ever-present in the Premier League.

De Gea made his 481st appearance for United against Norwich City on Saturday afternoon - moving up to 12th spot on the club's all-time list. Question marks remain over Henderson.

Saudi-backed Newcastle and Ajax under United manager-elect Erik ten Hag registered interest in the England man during the January window. He was made to stay put, though, as The Daily Star suggest United value him at around £40million going into the upcoming window.

Key figures in the Old Trafford boardroom have supposedly made it clear they will not budge on that figure.

Elsewhere, soon-to-be appointed Ten Hag is pressing forward with plans to sign highly-rated Aurelien Tchouameni from Monaco. That's according to a report from ESPN.

United are set to prioritise central midfield recruits when they get down to business in the market and their desire to strengthen has been underlined by a shock decision from Nemanja Matic - who will leave Old Trafford along with Paul Pogba this summer.

Tchouameni has earned rave reviews from Pogba himself and would cost around €60-€70million. He has won eight caps for France and has been a stand-out performer for AS Monaco this season.
