Manchester United's next six Premier League fixtures compared to Liverpool, Newcastle and rivals

Manchester United have a difficult run of fixtures on the horizon in the Premier League as the Christmas period gets into full swing.

The Reds ended their losing run at Liverpool on Sunday albeit in tame circumstances. United were penned in by Jurgen Klopp's side in the first half but despite the home side registering the most shots in an opening 45 this season, Andre Onana was rarely threatened.

After the break was much of the same for both sides but United did offer a bit more going forward with Rasmus Hojlund having arguably the best chance of the match saved by Alisson. The draw comes as a relief for the Reds after last season's mauling at Anfield.

Following the result on Merseyside, here is how United's next six Premier League fixtures look compared to their rivals.

West Ham United (A) - December 23

Aston Villa (H) - Boxing Day

Nottingham Forest (A) - December 30

Tottenham Hotspur (H) - January 14

Wolverhampton Wanderers (A) - February 1

West Ham United (H) - February 3

Verdict

The next six fixtures are bookended by clashes with West Ham United. Along with Villa and Spurs, Erik ten Hag can expect a tough start to 2024.

With no European football next year, United will have full focus on the top flight and FA Cup so will be hoping to take advantage of their rivals having to juggle their continental obligations.

Liverpool (A) - December 23

West Ham United (H) - December 28

Fulham (A) - New Year's Eve

Crystal Palace (H) - January 20

Nottingham Forest (A) - January 30

Liverpool (H) - February 3

Arsenal (H) - December 23

Burnley (A) - Boxing Day

Newcastle United (H) - New Year's Day

AFC Bournemouth (A) - January 21

Chelsea
