Manchester United’s next five Premier League fixtures compared to rivals

Manchester United may have entered the international break on the back of a dramatic win over Brentford, but there will still be tension in the air ahead of their next batch of Premier League fixtures.

The Reds currently sit 10th on 12 points having just won half of their opening eight matches. As a result, they are four points away from the top five and 12 points from top spot itself. There will be a mixed mood among the fanbase after recent takeover news. Sir Jim Ratcliffe is set to take a 25 per cent stake in the club after Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani’s withdrawal from the race.

Sheffield United (A) - Saturday, 8pm

Possibly the team United want to face the most coming back from the break. The Blades sit rock bottom of the table having picked up just one point from their opening eight matches.

Their last home game ended in a 8-0 defeat to Tottenham. United would take a one-goal winning margin if it meant three points.

Man City (H) - 29 October, 3.30pm

Even with a win at Bramall Lane, United fans will be nervous about the first
