Manchester United player ratings as Eriksen and Fernandes good vs Nottingham Forest

David de Gea

Overcame an early injury scare to continue. Hardly had a save to make but got some punches in from crosses. 6

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Steady at right-back and involved in the final third without obviously contributing to attacks. Another good outing. 7

Victor Lindelof

Curiously marginalised since the season resumed and he enjoyed a dependable return to the side. Barely gave the Forest forwards a kick. 8

Harry Maguire

Was a walking disaster in the first 20 minutes when he was booked and he could have conceded a penalty but kept a clean sheet. 6

Diogo Dalot

Had to fill-in at left-back with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia absent. Made one error with an overhit touch but afforded Brennan Johnson no joy and scored nervelessly. 7

Casemiro

Provided balance as United's favoured midfield was reunited at the 11th hour and could have had an assist for Anthony Martial. 8

Christian Eriksen

Parachuted into the starting XI at less than 15 minutes' notice and he was United's best player in the first half. Continued to create in the second half. 8

Antony

The scorer of great goals who is not a great golascorer got his first in the Premier League since October to make it 1-0. Marvellous assist for Dalot. 8

Bruno Fernandes

Returned to the No.10 role when he had expected to start as a 6. Played in Anthony Martial to make United's goal possible but headed wide from Eriksen's cross. Unlucky to have a shot hit the bar. 8

Jadon Sancho

You can see why Erik ten Hag is losing patience with the winger. Spurned an easy chance in the first minute and did not challenge Neco Williams enough. 5

Anthony Martial

Did really well to regain the ball, make the run and shoot
