Manchester United owner Avram Glazer spotted at Women's FA Cup final amid takeover talks

Manchester United owner Avram Glazer has been spotted at Wembley attending the Women's FA Cup final.

The Glazer family remain in talks to sell Manchester United with reports on Friday suggesting Sir Jim Radcliffe is the preferred bidder to take over. It is understood if the INEOS owner was successful with his bid, he would keep Joel and Avram Glazer at the club in the form of minority stakeholders.

Avram is rarely in attendance at Old Trafford and last attended a Manchester United match in February for the Carabao Cup final. United won the match 2-0 against Newcastle United at Wembley Stadium.

The American has now been pictured at that same ground watching Manchester United Women play Chelsea Women in the FA Cup final. The Glazer family are a rare sight at Old Trafford and when Avram Glazer was in attendance at Wembley for the Carabao Cup final, his appearance was met with a chorus of boos.

They remain highly unpopular with United fans and supporters are keen to see a sale that would see them relinquish control of the club. Fans have continued to protest against their ownership of the club.

Sheikh Jassim, the other bidder in the frame to take over United, is keen to complete a full purchase of the club, which would mean the Glazers leaving Old Trafford. No deal has been agreed with the process ongoing as we approach the end of the season.
