Manchester United might give Premier League rival a bargain £10m transfer this summer

Aaron Wan-Bissaka will leave on a high if his last Manchester United game has been played.

Wan-Bissaka started in the FA Cup against Manchester City last weekend and expertly dealt with Phil Foden and substitute Jeremy Doku, who was introduced at half-time.

Doku made it 2-1 with just a few minutes remaining on the clock, but Andre Onana should have saved it and the pacy winger's threat was otherwise minimised by Wan-Bisaaka.

There's something about Wembley that seems to bring the best out of Wan-Bissaka. He got the better of Allan Saint-Maximin in the Carabao Cup final and Kaoru Mitoma in the FA Cup semi-final last season and delivered again when United needed a performance against City.

There were excellent individual displays from United's players in the FA Cup final and Wan-Bissaka played a crucial part in salvaging a trophy from a disappointing season.

Wan-Bissaka now has an opportunity for a break before pre-season begins in July and could be wearing a different team's colours when the 2024/25 campaign starts in August. He's into the final year of his contract with United and could be sold this summer, so the club can obtain a fee for a player they signed for £50million from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2019.

That outlay represented a significant investment and allowing Wan-Bissaka to leave on a free transfer next summer wouldn't be good business - it would be anti-INEOS.

It's not a coincidence Sir Jim Ratcliffe is one of the wealthiest men in the world and his new regime will look to right the wrongs of the past, which means improving United's selling record.
