Manchester United make Marcus Rashford decision as team news vs Wolves confirmed
Marcus Rashford has been left out of the Manchester United matchday squad for the fourth game running for this teatime's clash with Wolves at Molineux.
Rashford, who recently said he was "ready for a new challenge", has not featured for United since the 2-1 win over Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League on December 12.
Addressing the ongoing situation with the England international, Amorim, speaking to Sky Sports earlier this week, said: "It is a hard situation.
"I understand these players have a lot of people around them, making choices that are not the first idea from the player. They chose to do the interview as it is not just Marcus."
Rashford's future, understandably, is now a key topic ahead of the January transfer window opening for business next week. However, it remains to be seen if United will be able to shift him in the mid-season window.
Despite Rashford's ongoing absence United are not light on attacking options. The likes of Joshua Zirkzee, Rasmus Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho, Amad and Antony have all made the squad against Wolves.
Hojlund has been selected to lead the line, supported by Bruno Fernandes and Amad in the front three. Noussair Mazraoui and Diogo Dalot look set to start in the wing-back positions.
Matthijs de Ligt has also been deemed strong enough to be included after missing the last two games through illness. Toby Collyer has also made the squad for the second game running. They are both on the bench.
United starting XI: Onana; Yoro, Maguire, Martinez, Mazraoui, Ugarte, Mainoo, Dalot; Amad, Hojlund, Fernandes.
Substitutes: Bayindir, De Ligt, Evans, Casemiro, Collyer, Eriksen, Antony, Garnacho, Zirkzee.
