Manchester United ‘make Marcel Sabitzer transfer decision’ and more transfer rumours

Manchester United are not expected to make Marcel Sabitzer’s loan move permanent, according to reports.

The Manchester Evening News revealed earlier this month that United will not be keeping Burnley loanee Wout Weghorst beyond his temporary deal with the player having scored just two goals in 30 games, of which none have come in the Premier League.

Now, the Daily Mail claims that Bayern Munich loanee Sabitzer is set to face the same fate. The midfielder, like Weghorst, is said to still be admired by Erik ten Hag but the club are keen to concentrate money on better acquisitions.

Sabitzer will play no part in Saturday’s FA Cup final after suffering a knee injury that ended his season two weeks ago. The Austrian scored three goals in 18 appearances, including a brace against Sevilla in the Europa League quarter-finals.

Meanwhile, it is being reported by Dutch website 1908.nl that Eredivisie champions Feyenoord have an interest in bringing Amad on loan for the season. The forward scored 14 goals for Sunderland during his season-long stay this campaign.

He guided the Black Cats into the Championship play-offs, netting a wonderful goal in the first leg of their semi-final with ultimate promotees Luton Town. Reports from the Netherlands suggest Feyenoord have been tracking his progress and would be willing to facilitate a loan.

No approach has yet been made, they say, with Ten Hag keeping the door open for a possible first-team opportunity for the 20-year-old, who already has one goal in nine senior appearances.
