Manchester United looking into Cristiano Ronaldo ‘phone smashing’ incident after Everton defeat

Manchester United are investigating an incident involving Cristiano Ronaldo after eyewitnesses accused the Portuguese superstar of snatching and damaging a mobile phone belonging to an Everton fan following Saturday’s defeat at Goodison Park.

Footage, taken by @EvertonHub, captured a furious Ronaldo storming towards the tunnel and slapping the railings which separate the players from the home supporters.

A subsequent image emerged on social media which appeared to show the remains of a damaged mobile phone splayed on the concrete, with eyewitnesses claiming the device belonged to a young fan.

According to Sky Sports, United are aware of the incident and are looking into it, but no official comment has yet been made.
