Manchester United line-up deal for Bundesliga defender and more transfer rumours

Manchester United are weighing up whether to dip into the transfer market for another centre-back after they have reportedly identified a Bundesliga defender as a potential new addition.

According to Sports Mole as per Tuttomercatoweb, Erik ten Hag might be about to make further reinforcements to his defence at Old Trafford as the club consider the signing of Augsburg defender Felix Uduokhai. The 24-year-old only made 13 appearances for his side last season, but the German is highly regarded by those who have seen him play in the Bundesliga.

Uduokhai has represented Germany at the Olympic Games and his versatility will be hugely appealing to United's new manager. The Dutchman would be able to use the German at centre-back and left-back but he can also operate as a holding midfielder if needed. With just two years remaining on his contract, Augsburg may wish to cash in on the in-demand signing while they still can.

Elsewhere, Man United are reportedly competing with Chelsea for the signature of Endrick, a 15-year-old Brazilian wonderkid from Palmeiras who could be worth as much as €40m.

According to Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola, both Premier League clubs are ready to make official bids for the player later this week when he turns 16 - bids cannot be formally submitted before his 16th birthday regardless. Endrick has yet to make his official debut for Palmeiras but is already being touted as one of the best prospects to come out of South America in recent times.
