Manchester United 'learn of new Harry Kane rival' as PSG register interest and more transfer rumours

Paris Saint-Germain are set to rival Manchester United for Harry Kane this summer with the French giants keen on a summer move, according to reports.

United have made Kane their prime target for a summer of major investment, with Erik ten Hag prioritising a world-class goalscorer as he builds a squad fit for a Premier League title challenge. The Dutchman has been heavily reliant on Marcus Rashford's goals this season, with on-loan Wout Weghorst failing to meet expectations while Anthony Martial has endured a number of fitness problems.

Kane will enter the final 12 months of his contract at Tottenham this summer, with the 29-year-old set to resume talks over his future once they appoint a full-time manager. Failure to agree on an extension could see Spurs sell their all-time top goalscorer, who has made no secret of his desire to win trophies.

But with world-class frontmen in demand across Europe, United will expect serious competition for Kane's signature and 90min reports that PSG would explore a move. Elsewhere, Football Insider reports that United sent two scouts to watch Birmingham City sensation Trevan Sanusi on Monday night.
