Manchester United icon Wayne Rooney finds it 'strange' that Man City's 2012 title win hasn't been questioned

Former Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney has revealed that he finds it "strange" that Manchester City's dramatic 3-2 win over QPR to clinch their maiden Premier League title back in 2012 has never been questioned.

Rooney made the admission exactly 10 years on from when City clinched their first Premier League crown in the most dramatic and pulsating way imaginable. Trailing 2-1 on the final day at the Etihad Stadium as the contest entered second-half stoppage time, City scored twice to secure the title and snatch it out of the hands of cross-city rivals United, who thought they had done enough with a 1-0 win at Sunderland.

Edin Dzeko brought City level in the second minute of stoppage time, planting a firm header past QPR goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, before Sergio Aguero scored, arguably, the most iconic Premier League goal ever just two minutes later. It sparked scenes at the Etihad that nobody is likely to ever forget.
