Manchester United hero Jaap Stam’s brilliant response to being handed a Liverpool shirt by Virgil van Dijk

The two Dutch football stars sat down to speak ahead of Liverpool’s 4-1 defeat at Manchester City on Saturday for Viaplay. Stam won three league titles during his three-year spell at Old Trafford but was surprisingly sold to Lazio in 2001 as Sir Alex Ferguson brought in Laurant Blanc in his wake.

Speaking to bet365, he said: "I've never spoken to United [about joining Ten Hag's staff] - nobody phoned me about anything... but, like I said before, United is a club that I love.

"I've grown there as an individual. As a player, it made me stronger, it made me what I am now in career. I made history with that club, which is very
