Manchester United have a player who is like a new signing after pre-season tour

Sancho's new threat

It's been a goal-laden tour for Manchester United and many of the 13 goals they've scored have been eye-catching, showing the impact Erik ten Hag is already having on the squad.

The team are playing much higher than last season and their football has been slick in all four games. There is also now a goal threat from more areas.

They were far too reliant on Cristiano Ronaldo and his 24 goals last season. Of the rest of the squad, only Bruno Fernandes (10) scored more than five times.

Improving that is a priority for Ten Hag and Jadon Sancho could benefit. He managed five in 38 games last season, but that was significantly down on his efforts for Borussia Dortmund, where he scored 50 goals in 137 games.

He scored three in four on the pre-season tour after scoring against Aston Villa in Perth and he's been played almost exclusively from the right, from where he is growing in confidence.

That has been a problem position for United, so seeing Sancho thrive there is a major bonus for Ten Hag. If he starts scoring goals as well then it could be crucial.

He took his goals against Liverpool and Crystal Palace well. His strike against Aston Villa was easier but he was in the right position to convert after another impressive team move, that saw the ball moved from Diogo Dalot to Luke Shaw, via Anthony Martial, Fernandes and Marcus Rashford.
