Manchester United have a player that Erik ten Hag can't keep ignoring
A bedsheet with the words 'Play like you mean it!!' daubed onto it was unfurled in the away end ahead of Manchester United's 1-0 win over Fulham earlier this month.
On an afternoon when United's players so nearly forgot to adhere to it, Facundo Pellistri had other ideas. Fresh from the bench, it was his perseverance and determination that led to Bruno Fernandes firing home an unlikely winner.
With time running out, Pellistri did not give Fulham's defence an inch to clear their lines. He played just as important a role in forcing the goal as Fernandes did scoring it.

However, his impressive 27-minute cameo on the banks of the Thames was not enough to force his way into Erik ten Hag's plans for the subsequent fixtures against FC Copenhagen and Luton Town. Named on the bench for both matches, he failed to store a single minute under his belt.
With Antony having failed to score since April and provide an assist since May, Pellistri must be wondering what else he has got to do to earn a meaningful chance on the right-wing. Marcus Rashford has been deployed on the right-wing in each of the last two games to accommodate Alejandro Garnacho's inclusion on the left.
Rashford, as he has demonstrated time and time again, is wasted on the right, failing to have the same influence as he does on the opposite flank. But with Antony offering nothing in terms of an attacking output so far this season, you can, to a certain degree, understand Ten Hag's thinking.
