Manchester United give updates on four players returning from injury

Erik ten Hag will make a final decision on Manchester United's returning players on the day of their Europa League quarter-final second leg with Sevilla.

Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, Marcel Sabitzer and Marcus Rashford were involved in training on Wednesday and have travelled with the squad to Spain.

Shaw has missed the last three games with an unspecified injury, Rashford sat out two games with an apparent groin strain, Malacia was absent from the win at Nottingham Forest with a sore knee and Sabitzer withdrew from the line-up with a groin problem.

Ten Hag confirmed all four are available to start against Sevilla as United attempt to progress to the semi-finals, where they would face Juventus or Sporting Lisbon.

"Yeah, available because that's why they're in the airplane but I will take my decisions tomorrow. Today, they are training, we will see what the reaction is and we will take the decision. We have all particular decisions.

"All the players, you want to keep all the players fit, so that is the objective. The main objective is win the game.

"He (Rashford) had one session with the team, but he had some sessions before individually."

United were 2-0 up with 10 minutes to play in the first leg at Old Trafford last week but conceded two own goals in the 84th and 92nd minute to draw 2-2.

Sevilla are unbeaten in four games against United and ended their European campaigns in the Champions League round-of-16 in 2018 and the Europa League semi-finals in 2020.

Ten Hag was encouraged by United's 2-0 defeat of Forest in the Premier League on Sunday as he felt it signalled a lesson learnt.
