Manchester United give injury update on Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen

Manchester United will have to wait 24 hours before they learn the full extent of injuries suffered by Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen in victory over Luton.

United's injury woes continued as Danish duo Eriksen and Hojlund were both taken off during their 1-0 win at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.

Eriksen held his knee when he was replaced by Mason Mount in the closing minutes of the first half, while Hojlund twice went down holding his hamstring before being replaced just over 10 minutes from time.

PLAYER RATINGS: Lindelof and Onana good

MATCH REACTION: Ten Hag selection pays off at both ends

United's immediate concerns are eased by the fact that they are now entering a two-week international break but they will be hoping to have the duo available when they return to action.

Asked about the latest injury scare, Ten Hag was unable to offer much guidance on the severity of their setbacks: "In this moment, I can't comment anything about it because I don't know the assessment.

"You have to wait 24 hours. Give them and the medical (team) 24 hours to see what is the problem, if there is a problem."

When asked about the ongoing injury concerns at the club, Ten Hag pointed out how having so many setbacks has had an impact on establishing momentum and a consistent style of play.

He added: "That is our season; so many injuries. Therefore, you have a squad, but we have talked many times about it. Hopefully players are coming back and those new injuries aren't too bad."
