Manchester United get double injury boost ahead of Barnsley tie

Manchester United have no new fresh injury concerns ahead of their League Cup third round tie against Barnsley.

Noussair Mazraoui limped off in the closing stages of United's 3-0 Premier League win at Southampton on Satuday while Matthijs de Ligt came off with cramp but both are available for selection at Old Trafford.

Luke Shaw (calf), Leny Yoro (foot), Victor Lindelof (toe), Mason Mount (muscular), Rasmus Hojlund (hamstring) and Tyrell Malacia (knee) are are all still sidelined. Manuel Ugarte could make his full debut.

"They are all available. They are good," United manager Erik ten Hag clarified when asked about Mazraoui and De Ligt. "Luke Shaw: he’s progressing but not yet ready to be selected and Ugarte you will see tomorrow what the selection will be for this game.
