Manchester United fans stage new protest and call for 'Glazers Out' during match vs Chelsea

Manchester United fans have renewed their calls for the Glazer family to leave their club on Thursday.

Supporters were seen marching towards Old Trafford with banners and flares protesting the ownership of United before the Premier League match against Chelsea. As the teams emerged from the tunnel at the Theatre of Dreams, a banner simply reading 'Glazers Out' was held aloft by fans.

Although the protests were not on the same scale as they were before the Norwich City home game earlier this month, fans have made sure to air the frustrations in the stands. Chants of 'stand up if you hate Glazers' were heard ringing around Old Trafford during the first half, however many chose to remain seated and instead clapped in solidarity with the message.

The Glazer family took over at Old Trafford back in 2005 and enjoyed success while Sir Alex Ferguson was in charge. However, since the legendary manager's exit, United have slumped on the pitch and even more have turned their back on the ownership.

Some fans were pictured entering the stadium 17 minutes after the match against the London club began. Seventeen is a significant moment for the fans as it signifies a minute for every year the Glazers have been in charge of United.
