Manchester United fans make new transfer demand after Rasmus Hojlund update

Manchester United fans want the club to sign two strikers this summer as they close in on a deal for Rasmus Hojlund.

MEN Sport understands United are confident of securing the signature of the Norway forward before their Premier League opener against Wolves. Erik ten Hag has held video calls with Hojlund, who became their primary target after being discouraged from pursuing Harry Kane.

United are prepared to pay £60million for the Atalanta striker with the hope Erik ten Hag can mould the 20-year-old into one of Europe's best finishers. United can afford the deal without having to sell players first despite spending £107m of a £120m budget already.

Outgoings are anticipated to balance the books whilst Hojlund will be given time to adapt to English football. United have planned to use Marcus Rashford up front, at times, to ease the burden and expectation on Hojlund.

However, United fans believe another striker should be a priority to help Hojlund with the goal-scoring mantle next season. Kane remains the fans' priority addition.
