Manchester United fans give clear response to James Maddison Leicester City transfer talk

Leicester City playmaker James Maddison has been linked with a potential switch this summer to Manchester United. The 26-year-old England international is currently in a relegation battle with the Foxes to stay in the Premier League.

Leicester drew 2-2 with fellow struggles Everton last night at the King Power Stadium. Maddison has just over a year left to run on his deal with the East Midlands club and should he not put pen to paper on fresh terms, this summer will present the final chance for the Foxes to bring in a big fee for him.

United, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur have all been linked with a summer move for Maddison. The Daily Telegraph reports that Maddison is set to depart the Foxes this summer, regardless if they achieve survival or not, with a price tag of between £45m and £60m set for a player who joined Leicester in 2018 for £20m from Norwich City.

Despite the prospect of Maddison - who has 54 goals in 197 games for Leicester - potentially heading to Old Trafford this summer, United fans do not seem thrilled at the prospect of the Foxes man joining Erik ten Hag's side. In fact, those commenting on the story on Reddit claim the move would not make sense.
