Manchester United could get perfect outcome for James Garner, Amad and Facundo Pellistri

Nottingham Forest could potentially be back in the Premier League for the first time since 1993 if they win in the play-off final against Huddersfield. They reached Wembley after beating Sheffield United on penalties on Tuesday night.

Forest are well-run and have a very defined style of playing since the appointment of Steve Cooper and this has seen the club go from the bottom of the table in September to being one win off automatic promotion at the end of the season. James Garner has been central to their form this year while on loan from Manchester United and he'll hopefully add a Championship promotion to his CV at the end of the season.

If Forest were to be promoted to the Premier League it could affect United's plans. This includes Garner's future, other loanees and also a potential transfer target.

The Manchester Evening News understands that Garner could be given a chance in the United first-team under Erik ten Hag, but that is something that likely will be decided once the Dutchman arrives at Old Trafford officially. But there is still a chance that the English midfielder could be loaned out again.

If Forest are promoted to the Premier League, then it would be the perfect destination for Garner to return to on loan next season and gain some more game-time rather than spend time on the bench as a rotation option at United. And the club could also be a destination for several other players who will need to gain first-team experience.
