Manchester United confirm pre-season friendly before tour
Manchester United will play Scottish club Rangers in a pre-season friendly this summer.
United will face Rangers for the first time in over a decade and the game will be played at Murrayfield Stadium on July 20 as preparation for the 2024/25 season steps up.
The Reds played Olympique Lyonnais at Murrayfield for their first pre-season friendly of last summer, a game which attracted almost 50,000 fans, and they will return to Edinburgh this summer before playing Arsenal, Real Betis and Liverpool during a tour of the United States.

Last year, United played Lyon at Murrayfield and Leeds in Oslo, Norway before jetting off on a tour of the States and they could make another trip to Scandinavia this summer.
United have played Rangers four times in competitive fixtures and they've won three games and drew once. The two sides last met in the Champions League group stage in November 2010.
Sir Alex Ferguson's side won that match 1-0 at Ibrox Stadium thanks to a late Wayne Rooney goal and United won their group, only losing in the final of the competition to Barcelona.
Rangers are currently second in Scotland's top-flight and they trail defending champions Celtic by just a point, although they have a game in hand.
The Gers are managed by Philippe Clement, but it remains to be seen whether Erik ten Hag will still be in charge of United by the time this summer's pre-season begins.
